COLOMBO (News 1st) - Sri Lanka Railways say the strike scheduled for today (17) and tomorrow (18) by several railway trade unions is unlikely to disrupt train services.Railway Spokesperson Asanka Samarasinghe said train services commenced as usual today.Meanwhile, the Station Masters’ Association, Assistant Drivers’ Association, Locomotive Drivers’ Association and Railway Yard Employees’ Association launched a strike from midnight yesterday, citing several demands.However, the All Ceylon Railway Drivers’ Association says it will not participate in the strike.
