About Pulse Feed
Pulse Feed is an AI-powered news aggregator that brings breaking news from Sri Lanka and around the world into a single, clean reading experience — in English, Sinhala, and Tamil.
What we do
Pulse Feed continuously collects articles from trusted news sources across three languages. Every story is processed by our AI to generate a concise bullet-point summary, so you can understand the key facts at a glance before deciding whether to read the full piece.
We do not produce original journalism. Pulse Feed is an aggregator — we surface existing reporting and make it easier to consume. Every summary links directly back to the original publisher.
Languages
Pulse Feed covers news in three languages. Each language tab shows content sourced from publications that write in that language — not translated content.
- English — Reuters, BBC, Al Jazeera, The Guardian, Bloomberg, Daily Mirror, The Island, Daily FT, Sunday Times, Colombo Telegraph, Ada Derana EN
- සිංහල (Sinhala) — Ada Derana, Hiru News, Lankadeepa, Rivira, Divaina, Mawbima
- தமிழ் (Tamil) — Virakesari, Thinakural, Uthayan, Tamil Mirror, Sudar Oli
AI summaries
AI summaries are generated using Claude by Anthropic. They are intended as a reading aid — a quick way to grasp the main points of an article. They are not a substitute for the original reporting.
AI-generated content can contain errors, omissions, or misleading simplifications. Pulse Feed makes no guarantees about the accuracy of any summary. Always read the original article from the source publication before forming a judgement or sharing information.
Editorial independence
Pulse Feed has no editorial relationships with any of the publications it indexes. Stories are surfaced and ranked by recency only. No source pays for placement, and no advertiser influences which stories are shown.
Technology
Pulse Feed is built with Next.js 14, Supabase, and the Claude API. The design prioritises readability, speed, and accessibility across devices.
