
Two Chinese nationals wanted in connection with the assault, abduction and murder of a Chinese national at Colombo Port City have been arrested in Sigiriya, Police said. The Colombo Crimes Division arrested the two suspects on Aug. 28 while they were hiding at a restaurant in Sigiriya. The case stems from a July 23 clash between two groups of Chinese nationals at Colombo Port City, during which three people were assaulted and one was abducted. The abducted man’s body was later found in Eheliyagoda. Several suspects have already been arrested and remanded as the CCD continues its investigation. Police had earlier sought public assistance to locate three Chinese nationals wanted in connection with the case.
