
COLOMBO (News1st); Health experts state that between 80 and 100 people die daily in the country due to substance abuse.Dr. Manoj Fernando, Dean of the Faculty of Applied Sciences at Rajarata University and member of the Sri Lanka Medical Association’s Expert Committee on Drugs, made these remarks while attending a press conference for the "Ratama Ekata" national operation.He further noted that a large number of people are also suffering from non-communicable diseases caused by substance use.
