COLOMBO (News1st); Three individuals have been murdered in three separate incidents across the island.Police stated that a 35-year-old man was beaten to death with a club in the Mahagoda area, Tangalle.The killing occurred following a verbal dispute that had escalated, and police noted that a 28-year-old suspect has been arrested in connection with the incident.Meanwhile, a woman was hacked to death with a sharp weapon in the Korakahawewa tank reservation area in Anuradhapura.Police stated that the victim was a 60-year-old resident of Ulukkulama.According to police, the murder was committed by the victim’s husband following an escalating personal dispute.The suspect, who was injured in the incident, has been hospitalized.In another incident, a man was killed with a sharp weapon during a clash between two groups in the Galwala area, Galle.The deceased was a 24-year-old resident of Galle.It has been revealed that the murder took place due to an escalating dispute stemming from a long-standing grudge.Police stated that two other individuals injured in the clash have been admitted to the Galle Hospital.Two suspects, aged 19 and 29, have been arrested in connection with the incident.
