COLOMBO (News1st); Deputy Minister of Labour Mahinda Jayasinghe states that a 17-member committee has been appointed to amend labor laws.The Deputy Minister stated that the Secretary to the Ministry of Labour chairs the committee.Deputy Minister of Labour Mahinda Jayasinghe further mentioned that several preliminary drafts have already been provided to the trade unions of the National Labour Advisory Council.He added that they expect to hold broad discussions with the trade unions regarding the matter.
