UAE carriers, including Emirates, Etihad Airways, flydubai and Air Arabia, continue to operate most of their international networks despite ongoing regional instability following the recent US-Iran conflict. According to Arabian Business, no nationwide suspension of commercial flights has been imposed in the UAE, with operational changes largely limited to specific destinations such as Bahrain and Abha. However, several foreign airlines have extended suspensions to Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Aegean Airlines has cancelled Dubai flights through August 31, while Lufthansa and SWISS have suspended Dubai services until September 13. British Airways plans to resume Dubai flights on October 25, with Air Canada, airBaltic, ITA Airways and Singapore Airlines also extending suspensions through October 24. Meanwhile, Etihad Airways briefly cancelled flights to Bahrain after the temporary closure of Bahrain International Airport, while flydubai and Air Arabia continue to suspend services to Abha. Both airlines have otherwise maintained operations across their wider networks. The report said the differing responses are largely due to guidance issued by the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), which has advised European carriers to avoid operating in parts of Gulf airspace because of security risks linked to missile and drone activity.
