A foreign female tourist was injured after falling from a moving train while attempting to take a selfie in the Ambewela area on Sunday morning, according to railway and hospital sources. The incident occurred on a train travelling from Nanu Oya to Badulla. She sustained injuries in the fall and was admitted to the Nuwara Eliya Hospital for treatment. Authorities have repeatedly urged passengers, particularly tourists travelling on the scenic hill country railway line, not to lean out of moving trains or attempt selfies, warning that such actions can result in serious or fatal accidents.
