
The Football Federation of Sri Lanka (FFSL) has welcomed FIFA President Gianni Infantino’s decision to withdraw the proposed FIFA Forward Enterprise Initiative, describing the move as a demonstration of his commitment to unity, harmony and constructive engagement among FIFA Member Associations. In a statement, FFSL President Jaswar Umar said the decision reflected Infantino’s inclusive leadership style, highlighting his willingness to listen to the views and concerns of Member Associations. The FFSL expressed confidence that FIFA would continue to strengthen consultation and engagement with its Member Associations and decision-making bodies, ensuring that future initiatives are developed through collaborative discussion and in the best interests of global football.
