COLOMBO (News 1st): The Matara Magistrate’s Court issued an open warrant for the arrest of former Minister Basil Rajapaksa.The warrant was issued in connection with a money laundering case filed over a land in Brown’s Hill, Matara.Matara Magistrate Chathura Dissanayake issued the order after considering a request made by the Police Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID).The case relates to the alleged purchase of a property in Brown’s Hill, Matara using money obtained through unlawful means. The case has been filed against former Minister Basil Rajapaksa, Ayoma Galappaththi, the sister of his wife, her husband Tissa Galappaththi, and Muditha Jayakody.
