COLOMBO (News1st); The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) says the prices of furnace oil and naphtha will be reduced with effect from tomorrow.CPC Managing Director Mayura Neththikumara said the price of a litre of furnace oil will be reduced by 38 rupees, while the price of a litre of naphtha will be reduced by 35 rupees.Accordingly, the price of a litre of furnace oil will come down from 248 rupees to 210 rupees.Meanwhile, Minister of Power and Energy Anura Karunathilaka said steps will be taken to pass on the benefit of these price reductions to the public.He said the relief will be reflected in the upcoming electricity tariff revision.
