COLOMBO (News 1st) - According to The National Dengue Control Unit education authorities have been instructed to implement Dengue Control programmes at all schools before the start of the new school term.NDCU said the intermittent rainfall in the southwestern areas could lead to an increase in mosquito breeding.The public has also been urged to pay special attention to the situation and take steps to clean their surroundings and premises.A total of 95,174 dengue cases have been reported in Sri Lanka so far this year.The number of dengue-related deaths stands at 72.Meanwhile, 9,838 dengue cases have been reported during the past 30 days of this month.
