COLOMBO (News 1st):Measures have been taken to provide water to wildlife at the Yala National Park, which is experiencing a shortage of water due to prevailing dry weather conditions.Environment Minister Dr. Dammika Patabendi said water will be transported to reservoirs and ponds within the park using bowsers based on the requirements.Meanwhile, two solar-powered water pumping systems at the park have been repaired and restored to operational status.The Minister added that similar measures will be implemented in other national parks if wildlife is affected by the ongoing dry conditions.
