Six suspects have been arrested by the police for allegedly obstructing a luxury bus and assaulting its driver and conductor at Nagas Junction along the Kalutara – Colombo main road. According to the police, the suspects were travelling on motorcycles when they blocked the bus before physically attacking the driver and conductor. Kalutara North Police have seized two motorcycles believed to have been used in the commission of the crime. The arrested individuals are residents of Wadduwa and Moronthuduwa. The suspects are expected to be produced before the Kalutara Magistrate’s Court, while Kalutara North Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
