Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Tamim Iqbal has announced a major increase in match fees for domestic cricketers across all three formats. Under the revised structure, players will receive BDT 150,000 (approximately US$1,220) for each first-class match. The fee had previously stood at BDT 70,000 (around US$570), although it was increased to BDT 100,000 earlier this year. Match fees for List A one-day cricket have doubled from BDT 50,000 (around US$407) to BDT 100,000 (around US$814), while domestic T20 fees have doubled from BDT 40,000 (around US$326) to BDT 80,000 (around US$651). Tamim said the increases were intended as a long-term improvement to player earnings. The BCB has also increased match fees for women’s domestic cricket, with fees across four-day, one-day and T20 competitions doubled under the new structure.
