Iran says it has launched attacks targeting US military assets in Bahrain, Jordan and Kuwait in response to a new wave of overnight US strikes, according to Iranian state media. The reported strikes came after the United States said it had carried out a seventh consecutive night of military operations against Iran. US Central Command said the attacks involved fighter aircraft, drones and warships targeting what it described as Iranian surveillance sites, military logistics infrastructure, underground weapons storage facilities and maritime capabilities. Iranian media reported that the US strikes hit several locations, including Lar, Jask, Sirik, Bushehr, Bandar Abbas, Qeshm Island, Ahvaz and the central city of Yazd. At least three people were reported killed and eight others injured in Hormozgan province, which borders the Strait of Hormuz. According to Al Jazeera, warning sirens were activated in Bahrain, Jordan and Kuwait following Iran’s claimed attacks on US assets. Meanwhile, US Central Command rejected claims by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps that two oil tankers had exploded in the Strait of Hormuz after striking mines, describing the reports as false.
