COLOMBO (News 1st); The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) says it is currently taking the necessary steps to obtain an Interpol Red Notice against former Minister Basil Rajapaksa.The move follows an order issued by the Colombo Fort Magistrate's Court on Wednesday directing that warrants against Rajapaksa be issued in both Sinhala and English to facilitate action through Interpol.The order was made when a case relating to the alleged use of Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau funds for the printing of T-shirts for an election campaign was taken up before Colombo Fort Magistrate Pasan Amarasena.The case is scheduled to be taken up again on February 17.
