A stampede at a wedding celebration organised by a popular TikToker in Pakistan’s Sialkot city has left at least one person dead and several others injured. The incident occurred on Saturday night during the mehndi ceremony of Muhammad Ansar Jatt, known on social media as ‘Mr Pattlo’, at Faraz Cricket Ground on Daska Road. A large crowd had gathered at the venue following announcements that cars and motorcycles would be awarded through a lucky draw. A stampede broke out when the organisers opened the stadium gates to allow people inside, with several attendees falling and being trampled in the ensuing rush. According to Pakistani media reports, 30-year-old Muhammad Aqeel died while being transported to hospital. Rescue teams took the injured to Allama Iqbal Memorial Teaching Hospital for treatment. Police said the injured were transported to hospital, with most receiving first aid and subsequently being discharged. However, some remained under medical care. Initial reports put the number of injured at 14, while subsequent police reports cited by other media outlets gave the figure as 18. Police have registered a case against nine named individuals, including the TikToker and event organisers, along with 40 to 45 unidentified persons, over alleged violations of safety procedures and event-permit conditions. Six suspects have reportedly been arrested, while investigations are continuing (Newswire) The post One killed, several injured in stampede at TikToker’s wedding event in Pakistan appeared first on Newswire.
