COLOMBO(News 1st) - The studentships of 11 students of the Faculty of Technology at Sabaragamuwa University have been revoked following an investigation into the death of second-year student Charith Dilshan.Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor S.A. Ariyadore said the University Council took the decision based on the recommendations of a committee appointed to investigate the incident.The Acting Vice-Chancellor said, that the investigation confirmed that ragging was a cause of Charith Dilshan’s suicide. Charith Dilshan died by suicide on April 29, 2023, after reportedly being subjected to ragging.
