COLOMBO (News 1st) - Train services between Rambukkana and Peradeniya on the Upcountry Railway Line have been temporarily suspended. This is following a train derailment between Ihalakotte and Kadigamuwa.Sri Lanka Railways Spokesperson Asanka Samarasinghe said the train which was travelling from Peradeniya to Colombo Fort, had derailed as a result of fallen rocks on the railway tracks following heavy rains.The spokesperson for the Railway Department added that re-railing operations have already commenced.
