COLOMBO (News 1st): A suspect has been arrested in connection with the shooting and injuring of a person in Galwehera, Ahungalla.The arrest was made during a raid conducted by the Galle Crimes Division.Police said a pistol suspected to have been used in the crime was also recovered, hidden in a house in Galwehera.The suspect is a 26-year-old resident of Ahungalla.Police revealed that they have received information indicating that the son of the person injured in last morning's shooting in Ahungalla is linked to organized crime and is currently based overseas.Police further stated that an unidentified gunman had targeted and shot at the house located on C.P. de Silva Mawatha.The person injured in the incident is 74 years old.
